Modelling
The decision to develop flexible electronics products will depend not only upon qualified processes for these new materials, but also upon an ability to predict the performance of finished devices through modelling.
Prediciting future performance
At PETeC we are actively involved in developing device models that can be used to simulate the performance of transistors and circuits .The modelling data will be collected from devices fabricated using the state-of-the-art OSC materials, and also from several process routes that will be developed in the Sedgefield facility. The device model will be generated by Eurecco, a spin out company from Professor Bill Eccleston’s group based at the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Liverpool. They also provide a customer tailored OTFT circuit design service.
