Dr Tom Taylor,
Director of PETEC
Dr Tom Taylor is CPI’s Director of Printable Electronics and a co-founder of the PETEC centre. As a platform director at CPI since 2004, he set up the Flexible Electronics substrates joint venture with DuPont Teijin Films, a precursor and supplier to PETEC. He is a Senior Industrial Innovation Manager with 20 years experience of high technology product and business development.
Previously he was Head of the Chemicals business at Frost & Sullivan and held senior market and operational rolls at ICI, where he was responsible for businesses in the UK, France and Thailand. Tom has a materials technology background and his focus has been on integrating novel materials into industrial scale processes. He specialises in enabling clients in bringing products to market quickly, cost effectively and with minimal risk through a thorough understanding of the specific needs of industry. He has a Chemistry D.Phil from Oxford University.
