The PETEC Team
Dr Simon Ogier,
Research and Development Manager
As lead scientist in the development of PETEC’s capabilities, Dr Simon Ogier is well placed to enable customers to develop industrially compatible routes to the manufacturing of OTFT based products. Simon is specifically interested in developing industrially compatible routes in this area..
Prior to joining PETEC he was a senior scientist at Avecia, and subsequently at Merck Chemicals. He has published twenty research papers and twenty-one patents, including developments in low-k dielectrics for OTFT, and high mobility semiconductor formulations for solution processable electronics.
Simon gained a degree and PhD in Physics at Leeds University, and for his doctoral work developed microfabricated biosensors containing molecular ion channels. Following this, he worked researching and developing organic semiconductors, charge transport processes, and organic thin film transistors (OTFTs).
